Imagine waking up in a beautiful Bali villa to an infinity pool covered in pink flowers – or soaking in the sunshine in a private outdoor bathtub surrounded by nature. Picture yourself spending a week in a peaceful paradise receiving complimentary massages in your private villa while a butler serves deliciously curated cocktails. Sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong. Discover The Kayumanis Private Estate and Spa in Jimbaran, Bali.
When we planned our recent trip to Bali, we decided to spend a portion of the trip exploring the southeast coast of the island. While we were initially torn on which city to call “home” for this part of the journey, we decided on Jimbaran once we discovered the Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate and Spa. Since we rented a motorbike during our trip to Bali, it was easy to hop from city to city and soak in as much of the island as possible. Aside from the luxury of the Kayumanis, the location was also impeccable. The resort is a one minute walk to Jimbaran Beach, plus only a short drive to Seminyak, Nusa Dua, and Denpasar.
From the moment you arrive to the Kayumanis Jimbaran, you instantly escape from the hustle of the city. The perfectly manicured three-acre landscape feels like an oasis in itself – plus the resort only offers 25 private villas, so it’s peaceful, quiet, and rare to run into other guests. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, THIS is the spot.
My favorite part of the Kayumanis Jimbaran was hands down our private villa. The resort offers both one and two bedroom villas, each with a private pool. We stayed in the Emprol one-bedroom villa during our stay, and we were completely blown away with our accommodations! The property featured an indoor bedroom with a king bed surrounded by draped curtains and sliding glass doors to give an open-air feel. The master bathroom was completely outdoors with a deep-soaking tub, rain shower, full vanity, and amazing products. Adjacent to the bedroom is the outdoor dining room, full kitchen, and living room. Across from the main villa, you’ll find the massage room and additional full (outdoor) bathroom. Each villa was stocked with a complimentary mini bar – perfect for afternoon Bintangs by the pool!
Though the on-site restaurant is delicious, we loved having our meals served in our villa’s dining room. Unlike traditional room service, the staff continuously checked in for additional requests, courses, and wine pairings. The entire experience was top-notch.
One of the newest additions to the property is the Kayumanis Resto. The restaurant serves authentic and delicious Indonesian cuisine in a beautiful setting. Whether you grab drinks at bar, enjoy a formal dinner in the indoor dining room, or grab casual appetizers on the outdoor veranda, the Kayumanis Resto is a must. Plus if you want to socialize with other guests, this is where it would take place.
For a more in-depth culinary experience, the Kayumanis Resto also offers cooking classes for guests.
Aside from the beauty and luxury of the resort, the service is truly what made our experience so memorable. From the moment we checked into the resort to the moment we left, we were greeted by name by every employee – Bapa Scott and Ibu Ellen. The staff went above and beyond to guarantee we had the best stay. Whether we were planning resort activities, a day trip, or dinner in town, our 24-hour private butler took care of everything and provided us with detailed itineraries and options.
One of our favorite perks of our stay was the complimentary couples massage offered to all guests! We chose to have ours in our villa, but we also ventured to the spa for additional treatments and services. The spa offers an extensive menu of services designed to help you unwind and truly relax!
Aside from pure relaxation, the Kayumanis Jimbaran offers so many unique activities to help you explore the area and learn more about the local culture. We recommend the market tour and cooking lesson for a hands on experience in Indonesian cuisine! From fishing and cycling, to yoga and meditation, there are so many experiences to try.
The highlight of my stay was definitely the romantic dinner package. While we were exploring one day, the staff filled our pool with pink and red flowers, floating candles, and set up a three-course candlelight dinner alongside the pool. They also filled our bathtub with flowers and a floating heart. It was one of the most beautiful and romantic settings I’ve ever seen! I highly recommend this package if you visit – you will not regret it!
While there are so many incredible hotels in Bali, The Kayumanis was such an amazing experience. From the spacious luxury accomodations to the impeccable service, we absolutely loved our stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful and private romantic getaway, we highly recommend the Kayumanis Jimbaran!
